M0.5 6x Reduction Planetary Gearset

This is a steel gearset for a 6x planetary gearbox, like used in the qdd100 and other Mini-Cheetah style servos.  It fits inside the stator of 8108 and larger sized motors.  A center distance of 30.0mm is appropriate.

It includes 1 ring gear, 1 sun gear, and 3 planet gears with installed needle bearings.

Notes:

• Mounting of the sun and ring gear can be accomplished either with a shrink fit, or with adhesive. 
• For mounting to aluminum, we recommend:
  • slip fit 
  • degreasing mating surfaces with acetone
  • optional abrasion
  • a primer of Loctite SF7471
  • Loctite 638
  • 24 hour cure at 55C.
• Lubrication is required for operation under load.  We recommend Sta-LUBE CRC SL3330 Moly-Graph Lithium Grease
